Virginia Congressman Virgil Goode is now in the ranks with men like Tom Tancredo and Rudy Giuliani: they have all proven themselves to be brave, obstinate and wise anti-dhimmis.
“I do not subscribe to using the Koran in any way,” Goode wrote.
Damn right, Virgil.
And despite the fact that CAIR is continuing its never-ending efforts to confuse religion and race as part of a desperate plan to cloud the real issues at hand, we have plenty of Americans waking up to the grim reality: Islam is not suitable for American consumption, especially not on the steps of Congress.
Islam is founded upon Sharia Law, which by its own interpretations and traditions is nothing short of fascist. There is no separation of church and state in Islam. End of story. What more does any American need to know? Well, there’s plenty to need to know actually, but you get the most important point — if Communism is considered the antithesis to Democracy, then Islam should be considered the antithesis to Judeo-Chrisian Western culture, upon which our democracy is founded!
Do not be fooled by taqiya — CAIR representatives have only one goal, and that is to one day see Islamic Law (Sharia) dominate Congress and the White House!
Sure, the Muslims believe they have a victory with the election of Congressman Ellison from Minnesota and this is making them even more brash, but I’m writing here to say, don’t get too smug, CAIR; I’m on the job. And so, apparently, is the good Virgil Goode, who has said nothing less than any American representative should say. If you don’t like it, too bad. It’s called Free Speech and Free Thought.
From MSNBC:
WASHINGTON - A Virginia congressman has warned that “many more Muslims” will be elected demanding to use the Quran unless immigration is tightened. Republican Rep. Virgil Goode made the comment in a letter to constituents who had written in about Congressman-elect Keith Ellison’s decision to use the Quran at his ceremonial swearing-in.
“I do not subscribe to using the Koran in any way,” Goode wrote.
Should Goode Apologize?“The Muslim Representative from Minnesota was elected by the voters of that district and if American citizens don’t wake up and adopt the Virgil Goode position on immigration, there will likely be many more Muslims elected to office and demanding the use of the Koran,” he said. “I fear that in the next century we will have many more Muslims in the United States if we do not adopt the strict immigration policies that I believe are necessary to preserve the values and beliefs traditional to the United States of America.”
I could hug Congressman Goode right now.
Ellison, a Minnesota Democrat, is the first Muslim elected to Congress. He was born in Detroit and converted to Islam in college.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations, a civil rights group, called on Goode to apologize for the letter.
CAIR, a civil rights group? I can’t be the only one laughing at that statement, can I?
“Representative Goode’s Islamophobic remarks send a message of intolerance that is unworthy of anyone elected to public office,” said Corey Saylor, legislative director for CAIR. “There can be no reasonable defense for such bigotry.”
Saylor said Goode’s remarks follow a recent commentary by radio talk show host Dennis Prager, a member of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council. Prager that swearing an oath on the Quran “undermines American civilization.” CAIR has asked President George W. Bush to remove Prager from the taxpayer-supported council.
A spokesman for Goode said no apology was forthcoming, and that the congressman stands by the letter.
And I stand by Congressman Goode.

you are completely out of your fearful, little mind.
Wrong on both counts, but you’re still welcome to keep posting one liners from absolute anonymity. Unfortunately, that says so much about your own mind and your own level of courage, don’t you think?
Dhimmitude doesn’t fly here.
Ellison is in congress to defend the constitution. Where it states that there is no religious test for someone entering office. Ellison is an American where you can freely practice any religion you want. His roots date back in this country to the 1700s. He was voted in democratically by his constituents. It is his right to use the Koran.
You, sir, are a scared bigoted chickenhawk conservative. If you truly had faith you would not fear the Koran or Islam.
“You, sir, are a scared bigoted chickenhawk conservative. If you truly had faith you would not fear the Koran or Islam.”
You truly don’t know me very well.
First, I’m a registered Independent.
Second, I’m not a bigot to bring forth truth, but you are a fascist for trying to squelch truth with such unfounded claims about my person. Please find one instance of racism on my part anywhere in this blog. Find one instance of sexism. Find one instance of anti-Semitism or White Supremacy.
Third, I have “faith” in my own mind, my own education, my own upbringing and my own countrymen (with possibly you excluded).
Fourth, I do not fear Islam. I am its enemy. Islamists should fear me, because I’m not going away with a whimper or for a song.
As to your claims about Ellison, I have no interest in what his roots might be, because that is his heritage to be proud of. What I care about is what he is today and what he represents for tomorrow. He is a Muslim congressman. This sets an evil precedent for the future of the United States.
Freedom of Faith goes hand in hand with Separation of Church and State in the United States. That said, please explain to me how someone insisting on swearing upon a Koran is anything more than a slap in the face to United States traditions and values — because the Bible represents more than just a religion when it is used for such purpose — it represents 230+ years of hard-won values and freedoms! The Koran represents Shari’a Law, slavery, sexism, lies, warfare and fascism!
Learn your facts and don’t try to come here with ridiculous allegations again or I’ll ban your ip. This is the Anvil, not CNN.
What seemingly is unknown by far too many Americans is the fact that the Koran instructs Muslims to LIE to Infidels and non-believers. Do you think Ellison’s swearing on that “thought process” known as Islam has any value?! I pity the poor soul who might be deluded enough to think so!
